Décor Luxe (Reg. 2016/001701/24) – Hire Terms and Conditions:

To secure your booking, a 50% deposit is required for orders above R2000.00. The balance is due 7 days prior to the clients event.

Orders below R2000.00 require full payment.

Collection /Return times are stipulated on the quote. Any late returns will be changed for.

All items must be ready for collection in its original packaging and at the same place. Should the client fail to adhere to the above terms and conditions, Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) reserves the right to charge a reasonable penalty fee.

Full terms and conditions apply

The client must sign the terms and conditions at the at the back of the quote and send back to us with a copy of their ID for record purposes before any collection or delivery takes place.

 

General

  1. Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) rents the equipment described on the client’s invoice, which is subject to these terms and conditions.
  2. The rented equipment remains the property of Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24).

2.1. The client will be held liable for any equipment lost or damaged, during the stipulated rental period, at a replacement price determined by Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24).

  1. The client is aware of the purpose for which the equipment is intended and shall use the equipment for such purpose only.

3.1. Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) reserves the final right of interpretation of the use and terms of hire of its items Rental Period.

3.2. Please note: no adjustments will be made 21 days prior to the event.

4.1. The rental period is stated on the quotation or invoice.

4.2. Any additional period will be charged at the rates of the price list, until the equipment is returned by the client or collected by Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24).

 

Booking and Payment.

  1. To secure a booking, we require minimum 50% non-refundable deposit for orders over R2000.

Orders below R2000 require full payment to secure booking, 50% of the total is non-refundable.

5.1.1. The payment of the balance should be made 7 days prior delivery, at the latest.

5.1.2. We accept cash and EFT only.

5.1.3. Proof of payment must be sent via the bank or via email to decorluxeeventhire@gmail.com

5.1.4.a. Payment must reflect in our bank account in order for your booking to be confirmed.

5.1.4.b. No order will be processed without payment.

5.1.5 Items will not be delivered nor allowed to be pick-up by the client if outstanding balance is not settled.

 

Refundable deposit/shortage/damaged items

  1. A refundable deposit is required to ensure coverage of any shortages or damages, should they occur. The amount of this deposit will be returned within 7 days of the hired items have been checked and declared in good order. It is the clients’ responsibility to email Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) their banking details for the refundable deposit.

6.1. Any shortages or damages will be deducted from the refundable deposit, at the replacement price.

6.2. If the shortage or damage exceeds the refundable deposit, the client will be liable for the full amount. The balance is due for payment 7 days after client receives the shortages invoice.

6.2.1 Clients who do not settle their outstanding balances will be subject to being handed-over to a debt collector.

6.2.2. Clients that have been handed-over to a debt collector are to make payments to the debt collector by the stipulated date in order to avoid legal proceedings.

6.3. No alterations to orders will be accepted 10 calendar days prior to the hiring date. Any reductions will not be considered and no refund will be applicable. Any increase to orders will be subject to availability.

6.4. No refunds will be given to the client for items that was hired from Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) and not used during the clients event ( e.g. décor, furniture, the gas for outside heaters etc).

 

Delivery and Collection

  1. The client must collect and return the goods on the stipulated dates stated on the invoice.

7.1.1 Items must be collected on the “Date Out” by 12:00.

7.1.2. Items must be return on the “Return Date” by 12:00.

7.1.3. If the client does not return the entire order by 12:00 on the specified “Return Date”, the client will lose the refundable deposit as the client agrees to pay half the daily hire fee for the time as all first additional day, and the full daily charge for each day thereafter until such of the goods are returned.

7.1.4. Clients will be charged the replacement cost for items not returned/short on the specified “Return Date”.

7.2. Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) will deliver and collect at a fee, depending on the area and floor.

7.2.1. Transport fee is charged on the basis that items are delivered on the ground floor. An additional fee will be charged if items are required to be on a different floor level.

7.2.2. Items must be ready for collection in the same place and manner they were delivered to; chairs must be stacked, cushions must be packed in plastic bags, linen must be dry and all other items must be in their original packaging.

7.2.3. Failure to comply with 7.2.2 the client will be charged an additional fee for breakdown of items and chairs.

7.2.4. Should the equipment not return in the same packaging as per 7.2.2, the client will be liable for the replacement cost of the packaging.

7.2.5. Delivery and Collection dates are stipulated on Quotes and Invoices. It is the Clients responsibility to ensure that the dates are correct and that items can be stored in a safe and sheltered place until collection, as per condition 11, 12, 13 and 14.

7.2.6. Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) will not be held liable nor responsible for the client’s failure to inform us about changes in the delivery and collection date/ times. Clients will be subject to cancellation of the order without refund and penalties may be applicable.

7.3. Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) cannot be held responsible for any damages incurred when clients use their own transportation or a courier company.

7.3.1. Clients using a courier company/own transport are subject to accepting that goods leave Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) premises in good condition. The manner in which goods arrive at the clients’ premises or venue is not the responsibility of Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24).

7.3.2. Clients using a courier company/own transport to return goods are subject to Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) verifying the condition of the goods. In such a a case the only valid count of goods shall be that of Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24), clients will be held liable for any damages or losses.

7.3.3. Clients will be held liable for any damages or losses occurred during their own transportation and or that of a courier company.

7.4. On delivery, the client or another person designated by the client, must check all the items and sign the delivery note.

7.4.1. Failure to sign the delivery note by the client or another person designated by the client, Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) will not be held liable for any discrepancies.

7.4.2. Clients have 24 hours after delivery or pick-up of goods to contact Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) via email for any discrepancies. Thereafter Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) is under no obligation to neither rectify the mistake nor accept any discrepancies.

  1. On delivery/collection, the client or another person designated by the client, must check all the items and sign the delivery/collection note.

8.1. Failure to sign the delivery/collection note by the client or another person designated by the client, the client will be liable for any damages or losses suffered when Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) checks the collected items.

8.2. The client will be subject to Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) checking the items collected or received from the client. Any discrepancies the client will be held liable.

8.3. If a client does not declare items missing or damaged when checking the items, the client is subject to Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) checking the items; clients will be held liable for shortages or damaged items.

8.4. If a client declares missing items, the client is still subject to Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) checking the items and will be liable for the declared and undeclared missing and damaged items.

  1. Any changes to the agreed time and or date of delivery and or collection shall be subject to additional fees.

9.1. Normal transport fees apply from Monday to Saturday during working hours. Additional transport fees are charged on Sundays, Pubic Holidays and after working hours.

9.2. Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) will not be held liable for late or non-delivery of goods as a result of a supervening impossibility.

 

Care of Goods

  1. Dishes, cutlery and glassware must be washed and placed in the containers provided.

10.1. Failure to comply with 10, the client will be charged a washing fee determined by Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24).

  1. Linen should be dry and placed in plastic bags.

11.1. Linen that returns with non-removable stains, mould, torn or burned, the client will be charged the full replacement cost.

11.2. Linen that returns with excess wax, grime, stains that requires more than one washing, the client will be charged a washing fee.

11.3. When hiring any of our linen / sequins , a mirror must be used under all décor that makes use of candles, to aviod wax from falling on it.

  1. All hired property of Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24), including furniture, linen, carpets and décor, must be stored in a safe and sheltered location, when not in use.

12.1. Failure to comply with 12, the client shall be liable for any damages or losses suffered by Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24).

  1. Flower petals and other stainable products are not allowed to be used on carpets, linen and lounge furniture.

13.1. Failure to comply with 13, the client will be charged a washing fee and may be subject to paying the replacement cost of the damaged carpet and or linen.

14.1. Transportation of all furniture and chairs are strictly done by Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24), unless special arrangements are made with the manager of Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24).

 

Cancellation

  1. Cancellation of an item:

15.1. 50% of total amount of the item is non-refundable after an order is confirmed.

  1. Cancellation of entire booking:

16.1. 50% of total amount of the booking is non-refundable on cancellation.

16.2. If the client only paid 50% of the order, the client will loose the 50% deposit if he or she decides to cancel the full order.

16.3. Seven calendar days prior to pick or delivery (Date Out) of booking Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) shall be entitled to 100% of the booked amount.

16.4. Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) shall be entitled, but not obliged, to cancel all existing hire contracts with the Customer, without notice to the Customer, and shall be entitled to the immediate return of all goods on hire to the Customer.

  1. The client furthermore agrees to be liable for all the Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) legal costs for the attorney/client scale, including collection commission, in respect of any proceedings instituted by Décor Luxe Hire (Reg. 2016/001701/24) for the recovery of any amounts owning by the client in terms of the agreement.
  2. These terms and conditions are compulsory upon payment.
  3. Client is required to bring along drivers licence / ID when collecting hired items.
  4. No changes are allowed to be made to an order 28 days before the event.
